A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in GnuTLS, a library implementing the TLS and SSL protocols. As Nettle’s hash update functions internally call memcpy, providing zero-length input may cause undefined behavior. This flaw possibly leads to a denial of service after authentication.
For Debian 9 stretch, these problems have been fixed in version 3.5.8-5+deb9u7.
We recommend that you upgrade your gnutls28 packages.
